Days with Piper: Lake Time, a Decodable Chapter Book

This book contains three chapters, with three different stories. You can read about Piper going to the lake, on a hike through the woods, and having a day at home. 

What does “decodable” mean? A decodable book is one that a child can read with relative ease based on the phonics skills and high-frequency words they have learned.

What phonics skills does a child need to read this book?   Phonics Patterns: All consonants, all short vowels, double consonants, blends, digraphs, silent e, r-controlled vowels, “y” at the end of a word says /e/ or /i/, EE/EA, and AI/AY.
